Do You Know What is Your Body Language is Saying That Your Voice is Not?

Written by Robyn T. Braley

Your body language is a big part of your personal brand. And, that’s important because your brand is what others think it is.

1.    What is your body language saying about you?
2.    Do you know what subliminal messages you send?

Why Body Language Matters

Knowing can be the difference between being taken seriously or not. Strong body language speaks to credibility and trust. Shifty eyes, slouching, wild gestures and the failure to listen intently signal the direct opposite.

15 Reasons Why I am Proud to Be a Canadian

Written by Robyn T. Braley

I can't believe another Canada Day is near. For many Canadians, July 1st is also the official launch of summer.

Many reading this do not live in Canada. You may have observed that Canadian's aren't usually pushy or loud about being Canadian. However, we feel our patriotism deeply. We just don't always talk about it.

We love our nation and are proud to be Canadians. What moves me the most is listening to the stories of new Canadians – either recent or from decades ago - explaining what it means to be a citizen. It is easy to take for granted the many benefits and blessing offered by our country.

Time for a Spring Checkup? 10 Tips to Kick-start Company Growth in Uncertain Times

Spring time is the perfect time for a brand check-up! How is yours performing?

Written by Robyn T. Braley

What shape will your business be in by this time next year? Is there risk? Is there reward?

What steps can you take to make this year the best it can be in spite of economic and political circumstances?

With unpredictable global economies, political and business leaders, many investors lack confidence making future planning is difficult. If you don't have investors to worry about, you have bankers!

However, you can only operate your company based on what you know today! You can hope for a better tomorrow but you can only control what you can control today.

Don’t get me wrong, we have clients who’s businesses are excelling and setting all-time sales records in the midst of a sluggish economy. But we also have clients who are struggling.

I've written about survival strategies before. Whatever your circumstance, it's never a bad idea to review your brand and marketing performance. Is there a different way to look at your situation?

1. Begin from Where You Are

A mentor of mine shared this simple but profound truth. ‘Begin from where you are!’ It sounds simplistic, but when you think about it, it makes sense.

Today you KNOW you have a PROBLEM or OPPORTUNITY. You know that you do or don't have the tools needed to address it. It's that simple.

Can you MOVE forward based on what you know today about your realities as they are right now?

  1. What is the problem or opportunity!
  2. What are your strengths?
  3. What are your weakness?
  4. What do you know for certain?
  5. What DON'T you KNOW that you SHOULD?
  6. How will you address that?
  7. What is your plan?
